Social Work Services

What is Social Work Services ?

As part of the EmblemHealth Health@Work clinical team, the social worker helps workers/patients with the social and emotional issues that sometimes arise with occupational illness. The social worker can provide supportive counseling to patients facing disability or chronic illness. Such challenges create social and financial hardships and day-to-day issues of adjustment to an occupational illness. The EmblemHealth Health@Work social worker has a master’s degree in social work and is licensed by the State of New York.
