Our Story

EmblemHealth Health@Work is one of 9 regional occupational and environmental health centers established by the New York State Legislature in 1987. EmblemHealth Health@Work is a division of EmblemHealthPlan, Inc., an EmblemHealth company. The clinics are coordinated by the New York State Department of Health through contracts with sponsoring institutions. We operate with the guidance and input from various boards.

EmblemHealth Health@Work is a health and wellness center that focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of work-related health conditions and injuries.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to elevate and improve workers’ health and functional outcomes through access to preventive services and medical treatment, educational training, and equal partnership with workers, businesses, and labor unions.

Our Goal

Our goal is to reduce and prevent worksite injury and illness that can have a dramatic impact on both employees' quality of life and the "bottom line" for business. We are a clinical center whose staff includes physicians board certified in occupational and environmental medicine, an industrial hygienist, occupational health nurses, a social worker, and other professional and support staff.

We are here to help workers, businesses, and labor unions identify and control hazards, and suggest practical ways to reduce or prevent illness and injury.

What We Provide

Comprehensive and impartial medical evaluation and treatment for work-related health conditions and injuries
Expertise from board-certified occupational medicine physicians
Educational training on work-related health and safety topics
Industrial hygiene consulting services and workshops
OSHA and other required examinations/screenings
Consultative services for medical professionals
