What is Travel Medicine?

Travel medicine evaluations involve documenting the baseline health status of the traveler.  There is an opportunity for the Physician or Other Licensed Health Care Professional (PLHCP) to provide necessary medications and/or vaccinations determined by the travel destination. This type of service also allows the physician to make recommendations to maintain health during travel as well as educate the traveler about the destination’s environment.

This depends on the employer’s Human Resource policies and whether the travel is work related.
